We’ve been getting in some longer range offshore trips over the last couple of weeks, as far as 70 miles, where the fishing has been excellent.

One reason to get out that far is for red snapper. They have been more than cooperative with fish over 30” caught on most any cut bait offered on the right spots.

There have also been some big mangrove snapper schools holding with the red snapper. We have caught quite a few over 20” up to over 25”.

Big porgies and some nice scamp grouper have added to the long range catches. The red grouper have been a little tougher to find way offshore, but we’re doing well with them in the 30-40 mile range. I've also been lucky enough to do a few diving and fishing trips with my son. Slaying fish and making memories, doesn't get much better!
