I’ve had several great trips in the Fort Myers area over the last couple of weeks.

There have been new friends on board, as well as returning customers, and some new clients, all getting to experience great trips in Estero Bay.

The bait is still available on the beaches, but we’ve been using some live shrimp as well to catch the sheepshead and black drum that are taking up their seasonal residences in the passes.

The snook bite continues to be excellent and there are some very large jack crevalles around that are a blast to catch.

I also mated on another offshore charter this week, where we caught some nice mangrove and lane snapper, porgies, lots of red grouper, a few gags, and topped it off with a couple of amberjacks in the 50# range. I can only hope the mild weather continues, and the bite stays hot!
